The event was supposedly set to be held on May 13, but now it has been postponed by three days to May 16 at 4:00 PM IST. The change in date is to do with the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) season suspension on May 09 due to escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.

However, with ceasefire agreement now in place, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a revised schedule for the remainder 17 matches of IPL 2025 season. It is to be noted that Rohit's name was finalized during the MCA's 86th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on April 15.
